A child ice-skating champion in Hamburg, Reinhard trained as a dancer and actor, appearing in many West End and Broadway shows like West Side Story, Cabaret, Cats and Sweet Charity. But when an ankle injury forced him to retire, mirroring his role in A Chorus Line, he set up his own fitness and personal training company in New York which he ran for seven successful years.
Discovering Pilates helped Reinhard rebuild his strength, and allowed him to become a competent skier, roller-blader and runner. Reinhard has been practising Pilates for over 20 years.
His first studio, Holland Park Pilates was established in 2005, and he founded Little Venice Pilates in 2007.

Reinhard believes that Pilates helps achieve not only physical balance but also a sense of equilibrium in all aspects of life.
